It’s the season of the big collar. Recently seen on the catwalks of Chanel and Celine, but it’s the Copenhagen based label Ganni that introduced the big collar to the fashion world. I love this chambray version of theirs above, and think it’s an easy way to start wearing the trend! I love it styled with leather shorts and boots for the Indian Summer weather we’re experiencing this week. I would also rock this with leather pants or go all out with a denim on denim look and create one chic Canadian tuxedo.

How about these boots?! Pretty much a direct knock off of The Row Zipped Boot for under $200 and waterproof. I might have to pick these up as well!

One of my favorite micro trends of the season is definitely the patchwork jacket. Let’s be honest I’m a little over the minimal style that’s currently dominating the fashion scene and I could use a little color in my life. Just look at how chic these women below are! I would wear this trend with a sweater, jeans, and a sneaker running to the market, casual dinner with friends, or perhaps a pumpkin patch? These Agolde crisis cross jeans are super fun with paired with this H&M sweater that is the loveliest mustard color. Finish the look with a versatile white sneaker like the Nike blazers and you’re ready to roll.

Sweater and bare legs weather has finally arrived! I think the reason why I’m so drawn to this look is that we have a limited number of days to pull this off – speaking to my Midwest and East Coast ladies. The slip skirt is such an effortless item to have in your wardrobe and I believe you can find one for any body type. This Anine Bing powder blue bias cut stunner hits the nail on the head. It’s seasonless! Wear it this month with an open toe shoe and a sweater. Then into the colder months with an oversized blazer and a closed toe bootie. Summer is for crochet. It’s nostalgic and romantic at the same time. I’ve found myself searching for some crochet pieces this season because of it’s effortless and timeless look. Crochet will always be in style in my opinion. That is why I was thrilled to come across the brand She Made Me on Instagram. A label based out of Bryon Bay, of course those damn Australians always making the chicest beachwear. The designer Chloe Dunlap seeks inspiration from her travels around the globe everywhere from India to Morocco and her collections have a nod to the soul of the 70s. Definitely my favorite era of clothing. Each piece is crocheted in limited quantities by local artisans in Bali, who work from their homes in villages throughout the island. A true departure from the mass manufactured norms so typically found in the fashion industry today.

The OG of high low dressing is without a doubt Olivia Palermo. She has a way of making everything she wears look super expensive. I’m always looking to her for inspiration and have been loving her commitment to dressing up during the pandemic. Here she is looking extremely chic walking her dog. While she looks like a million bucks, her outfit is not, the top and skirt are both under $100 by the brand Lucy Paris. Such a score. This brand is adorable and you should definitely peruse the site.

Unfortunately it appears the matching top is sold out but they made another great top in the same print and a chic dress, if you’re more of a one and done type person. This set also comes in a stunning yellow color seen below!

The other weekend, I went to a rooftop birthday party for a friend and half of my girlfriends wanted to know where my bag was from. I always love a unique going out bag to change up my look or wear with an outfit I’m repeating, but for me it can’t be too precious. I’m prone to spills and have been known to trip over my own two feet and have my bag go flying or pad my fall – and that’s before I’ve had a cocktail (or two). That’s why I bit the bullet and purchased this cheapo bag below. I was worried the chain might be a little much in person but it’s good, real good. I’ve been loving the white because it goes with just about anything, however they have a fun cheery assortment of colors and all under $50.

Nothing thrills me more than finding a dupe of something way outside of my budget. I’ve been eyeing the Maddy top by Khaite ever since Katie Holmes was spotted in the brand’s infamous brown cashmere bralette and matching cardigan hailing a taxi in nyc last fall. The image went viral and made khaite one of the most coveted brands of 2019 and the beginning of 2020 BC (before covid). You know, when we had places besides our couch to wear a cashmere bralette….

Ever since I’ve been a huge stalker of the brand and love the designer Catherine Holstein’s take on luxe essentials and Americana styling. Her line is focused on jeans, shirting and knits in amazing quality fabrications and avant-garde silhouettes with a price tag to match. The Maddy top (pictured below) will run you just a cool $1,080.

That is why I was over the moon when I found that pixie market made a great look-a-like! Get it here!
