feeling fall

I don’t know what it is about the leaves turning that makes me want to dress like I live in Aspen or Jackson Hole, but the preppy ski bum/bunny is my preferred aesthetic for Fall and Winter. I’m heading out to Big Sky, Montana with a few friends later this month so I’m currently scouring the internet for all things Fall. I will be putting together some of my favorites coats, sweaters, boots, and loungewear this week so stay tuned for some cozy closet updates!

The first thing I’m getting are these wrangler jeans, I’ll fit right in with the cowboys at the ranch. And these Ganni boots are definitely something I would wear all winter long. This Alex Mill jacket is an awesome staple. A classic utility silhouette that works with casual and athleisure looks. These rag & bone sunnies look a lot like Celine and are on sale for $142! Shop it all below!

fresh fleece

As a midwestern child of the 90’s the fleece jacket seems somewhat nostalgic to me. From my high school grey and black The North Face Denali jacket that I basically slept in, to my college beige Patagonia pullover that had a mysterious cigarette burn on it, I’m no stranger to a fleece. They’re so cozy how can you resist! That’s why I’m pretty pumped I keep seeing some fresh looking fleece jackets out there, and the brand that’s doing it the best is Sandy Liang. Not only does she make extremely cool fleeces she also has an entire clothing collection. I love her dresses and quirky sweaters, definitely give her website a look if you need some cool girl pieces in your life.

I styled this fleece with the Agolde criss-cross jeans (why wear plain denim when you could wear statement denim) and a dupe of The Row zipper boots that will run you $1,200 and these are under $250. My guess is they sell out! Snag both the jacket and shoes and be cozy and cool all winter long.

patchwork jackets

One of my favorite micro trends of the season is definitely the patchwork jacket. Let’s be honest I’m a little over the minimal style that’s currently dominating the fashion scene and I could use a little color in my life. Just look at how chic these women below are! I would wear this trend with a sweater, jeans, and a sneaker running to the market, casual dinner with friends, or perhaps a pumpkin patch? These Agolde crisis cross jeans are super fun with paired with this H&M sweater that is the loveliest mustard color. Finish the look with a versatile white sneaker like the Nike blazers and you’re ready to roll.

Below you’ll find a bunch of patchwork jacket options to choose from!

This is also a great trend to buy vintage. I found some awesome Etsy scores for you! How cool is this patchwork pullover below? Anyone headed out west? This is the perfect look. Buy it here! Other favorites here and here.

sweater + skirt weather

Sweater and bare legs weather has finally arrived! I think the reason why I’m so drawn to this look is that we have a limited number of days to pull this off – speaking to my Midwest and East Coast ladies. The slip skirt is such an effortless item to have in your wardrobe and I believe you can find one for any body type. This Anine Bing powder blue bias cut stunner hits the nail on the head. It’s seasonless! Wear it this month with an open toe shoe and a sweater. Then into the colder months with an oversized blazer and a closed toe bootie. Whip this bad boy back out in the spring with your favorite crewneck tee and sneaker. This will also be perfect for holiday parties when everyone else is in a sea of dark colors! Winter pastels can be your secret weapon. Shop the look below!

Since this outfit was by far the fan favorite I’ve linked items to re-create the look below! I actually tried on the Mango orange sweater over the weekend in NYC and now I definitely need to purchase!

I’m hanging on to all things summer and white jeans are definitely a staple for me in the warmer months. This year I’ve been super into the high-rise wide leg silhouette to freshen things up from the skinny of seasons past. Especially with this staple crop tank by the Frankie Shop. Shop it here and similar here! Which will be perfect under this seasons cropped cardigan trend or your favorite fall blazer. White jeans are no longer just a summer staple.

Finish off the look by tying the most perfect stripe sweater around your neck. Voilà!
